SMC was named after SubMiniature C in 1960’s and SMC connector has identical interface dimensions with SMB connectors but with threaded coupling mechanism.

SMC connector have threaded coupling with 10-32 threads, which permits a vibration-proof connection and specially suitable for mobile applications with low VSWR.

SMC connector have 50 ohm impedance and offer broadband capability from 0 to 10GHz.

SMC connector are used in many different applications like GPS tracking, GSM cellular, WLAN equipments.
